Personality Disorders

The purpose of this (2) hour course is to examine the types of personality disorders that can occur. This course will review criteria for assessment and diagnosis, current treatment, and nursing interventions for individuals with a personality disorder.

By the end of this course, you will have the skills to:

✔️ Identify ten specific types of personality disorders according to current DSM-V TR criteria.

✔️ Discuss DSM-V TR criteria for identifying each personality disorder.

✔️ Describe at least five factors for assessment of individuals with a personality disorder, including tools used.

✔️ List three current treatments for personality disorders.

✔️ Recognize three nursing interventions for individuals with a personality disorder.
